On February 29, 2016, an AIP delegation, led by the CEO, Dr. Robert G. W. Brown, visited the School of Physics, Peking University. Dean Xincheng Xie, Committee Secretary Xiaolin Chen , Vice Deans Yuxin Liu, Yugang Wang, Yongyun Hu, and Assistant Dean Shouhua Zhu met with the AIP delegation.

Dean Xincheng Xie warmly welcomed Dr. Brown and the AIP delegation. Vice Dean Yongyun Hu delivered a brief introduction of the School of Physics Dr. Brown highly appreciated the School’s warm welcome. Ms. Catherine O’ Riordan, COO of AIP then briefly introduced AIP and its efforts to develop further relations with the School. Both sides extensively discussed on future exchanges in research training of undergraduate students, career plan and development, physics education and cooperation, etc. Both sides agreed to establish close collaborations and to broaden the Sina-US physics communities.

Committee Secretary Xiaolin Chen guided AIP delegation visiting the School’s Laboratory of Modern Optics and the Teaching Center for Experimental Physics. Profs. Yunfeng Xiao, Kebin Shi, Chengyin Wu and Yingying Jiang introduced the Lab and Center to the guests.
