Special student forum at the ITP: meeting with Prof. Toshihide Maskawa (Nobel laureate in physics)

Professor Toshihide Maskawa, a Nobel laureate in physics, visited the Institute of Theoretical Physics at Peking University on August 28th, 2012. He attended a special student forum to share his own personal experiences of studying at university with young graduate students in PKU. During the forum, Professor Maskawa answered the students' questions and discussed topics such as social and personal relationships.

Professor Maskawa was awarded the 2008 Nobel Prize in Physics jointly with Makoto Kobayashi for “the discovery of the origin of the broken symmetry which predicts the existence of at least three families of quarks in nature”. He is now Nagoya University’s University Professor and Director General of KMI, Nagoya University.
