报告摘要:The successful achievement of near-IR interferometry by European Southern Observatory marks the beginning of the era of high-resolution astronomy in the optical/near-IR. This talk will introduce how to perform high-precision measurement of black hole masses, cosmological distances, the history of the expanding universe, and nano-Hz gravitational waves from supermassive binary black holes in the era of optical/near-IR interformetrry.

主讲人简介: Jianmin Wang is a professor and expert on studies of quasars and supermassive black holes at the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He graduated from the department of physics at National University of Defense Technology, and obtained his Ph.D. degree in the University of Science and Technology of China. He was awarded the Chinese Academy of Science "Hundred-Talent Programs”, the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and the Chinese astronomical society “Huang Runqian Astrophysical Research Award”.
