On May 19, 2016, a Chinese University of Hong Kong delegation, led by head of Department of Physics, Prof. Dickon H. L. Ng, visited the School of Physics, Peking University. Assistant Dean Xinqiang Wang met with the CUHK delegation.

Prof. Xinqiang Wang warmly welcomed the CUHK delegation. He then delivered a brief introduction of the School of Physics, Peking University. Prof. Dickon H. L. Ng highly appreciated the School’s warm welcome. He then briefly introduced CUHK and the main research areas of their Department of Physics.

Parallel seminars were held on three main research areas. The high energy/astronomy seminar was chaired by Prof. Boqiang Ma and attended by Researchers Dayong Wang and Gregory J. Herczeg, etc.. The condensed mater physics and quantum physics seminar was attended by Researchers Wei Han, Xi-Bo Zhang and Dong Sun, etc.. The material sciences, bio physics, and soft matters seminar was chaired by Prof. Guangshan Tian, and attended by Researchers Jianjun Chen, Rui Zhu and Prof. Xinqiang Wang, etc..
