摘要:

Routine measurements of the aerosol direct and indirect (cloud) effects on climate are required to reduce the uncertainties in model predictions of climate change, precipitation patterns, and weather. Measurements are needed not just on the ground but throughout the atmosphere at all levels. One possibility to provide higher spatial and temporal measurement resolution is to deploy miniaturized instruments on-board unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). A variety of strategies will be described along with several applications.
