Recently, Kun Liu and his supervisor, Prof. Yajun Mao, in cooperation with Nanjing University and IHEP, have observed and measured branching ratios of the rare decay of 蠄鈥欌啋纬蟺0and 纬畏 for the first time with statistical significance of 4.6蟽 and 4.3蟽, which will provide vital experimental tests for the Vector Dominant Model. Meanwhile, with the measurement of the branching ratio of 蠄鈥欌啋纬畏鈥, a more than one magnitude suppression of R蠄鈥 = 螕(蠄鈥欌啋纬畏)/螕(蠄鈥欌啋纬畏鈥) is observed compared with the R value of J/蠄 decay. This unexpected suppression poses serious challenge to our current understanding of the mechanism of 畏鈥-畏 mixing and properties of ccbar bound states as well. The analysis benefits from helpful suggestions and comments from Academician Kuangta Chao and the result is published on Phys. Rev. Lett. 105, 261801 (2010).
